🌟 Healing from Past Trauma 🌟

Writer: Pastor Bosco J TansonPastor Bosco J Tanson

Key Scripture: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3 (NIV)

Devotional Message

Past trauma can weigh heavily on our hearts and minds, shaping the way we view ourselves, others, and even God. Yet, God is a God of restoration. He sees every wound, hears every cry, and promises to bring healing and wholeness. Jesus’ ministry was not only about saving souls but also about healing the hurts—physical, emotional, and spiritual—that weigh us down.

The Bible assures us that God will turn mourning into joy and bring beauty out of ashes (Isaiah 61:3). No matter how deep the pain, His love and grace go deeper. Healing from trauma is a journey that often involves laying our burdens before Him, allowing His truth to replace lies, and trusting Him as the Great Physician to bind up every broken place.

💡 How to Walk in Healing from Past Trauma:

  1. Bring it to God in Prayer – Acknowledge the pain and invite God to begin the healing process.

  2. Meditate on Healing Scriptures – Fill your mind and heart with God’s promises (Jeremiah 30:17).

  3. Forgive Yourself and Others – Release those who hurt you and forgive yourself for any mistakes.

  4. Ask the Holy Spirit for Renewal – He can give you the strength and peace you need to move forward.

  5. Seek Godly Support – Trusted friends, counselors, or a pastor can help provide guidance and prayer.

God’s love is gentle yet powerful enough to heal even the deepest wounds. You are not alone—He is with you, and He will restore you.
